As a freelance oboist described as having "a beautiful, free-flowing sound" by Holly Gornik (retired Utah Symphony), Nicole has performed with the Utah Symphony, Ballet West, recorded on the soundtrack for TNT's season one of "The Librarians," and participated in the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival in New York City with her trio, Trio de Bois (a French-style woodwind trio). She performs with Chrome Street quartet and is the section leader of the Utah Wind Symphony. She is the oboist of the Ladies’ Quintessential Quintet, and was the oboist of the Salt Lake Pops Studio Orchestra and SaltAir Winds woodwind quintet while they were active. With these groups, Nicole has performed in New York City, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Seattle, London, and other various locations. She also performed solo and as part of a trio in recital in Alpine, Texas.
Nicole has done a variety of recording, which includes soloing with a choir, recording for soundtracks, and recording for a rock album, as well as all of the self-produced projects with LQQ this season. As a member of the Salt Lake Pops, she had the chance to record an original oboe solo, Electric Winter, composed by Nathaniel Drew that reached viral notoriety as “the dubstep oboist.” Nicole is currently working on a self-produced album of oboe solo works in her home recording studio.
